Description:
Springer Correctional Center is located in Springer New Mexico. It was formerly a juvenile facility and was changed in 2007 to a level I and II minimum security institution that can house nearly 300 inmates. Inmates are housed in eight dormitories. Two segregation units are reserved for inmates with safety/security concerns or offenders with disciplinary issues who have become difficult to manage. The facility is secured by numerous cameras and two perimeter fences.
